Many argue that "diets" do not work and its the weight loss training strength that does. Why? Because when on a diet you may change your eating habits but once you're off, your diet goes back to normal and your physical activity may never have changed. Instead, using weight loss strength training is much more beneficial and will get better, longer-lasting results. Instead of just losing pounds, which is arbitrary because what exactly are you losing? These types of exercises and programs promote physical activity that will induce muscle growth and maintenance which will increase metabolism and weight loss.

Strength training for weight loss is more beneficial than aerobic exercise because in doing strength training, a person will increase their resting metabolic rate and it will stay increased permanently if you continue with weight loss strength training. And even though you may be putting on muscle weight, you are losing fat weight. Do not forget that muscle weighs more than fat does while it also does more by consuming calories. But do not cut aerobic exercise out of your routine completely because it is very good for your cardiovascular health. Instead incorporate strength training with the cardiovascular/aerobic work out and you'll have yourself a smashing bod!

But this also does not mean that you will have to do weight loss training strength exercises for hours on end to gain that beautiful physique. Strength training requires repetition for short periods of time, like consistent 30 minute workouts about three times a week. So, weight loss training strength is one answer to more permanent weight loss.
